Concerning Myself

My photo
I'm not a journalist, I am a thinker. I share my thoughts with the world and present them as they are. You don't have to agree, I'm not trying to pass off my thoughts as the truth, but simply a view. Think about them and question them. Don't blindly believe what I or anyone else might tell you. Research for yourself and seek the truth with your own mind. Thank you.

Documentary Review For "Thrive"

On the 11th of this month, Foster Gamble released his documentary "Thrive", a film which examines the current human condition. The main questions that are asked--"Why are humans not thriving?" and "How can we come out of our current condition and thrive?"
I had the pleasure of viewing this film and I can tell that a lot of money, time, and effort had gone into this film. Topics that are covered include:
*Free Energy, or energy that can be produced without combustion (oil and coal) or without a third party resource (wind and solar)
*Extra Terrestrials and UFO
*Fractional Reserve Banking
*New World Order and
*The solutions
There are many online documentaries that attempt to expose the New World Order, and many do a great job of this. Most of this was not foreign to me. I understand how the world's monetary system works, I've heard about the global Elite's attempt at world domination, I've started learning about Free Energy, and I do believe in Extra Terrestrial life. The vast majority of this stuff I was already familiar with, and many other are as well.
But in comparison to all of the other films I have seen about this and other related topics, this one is the most well produced one and it really tries to be legitimate. And the fact that Foster Gamble, a man whose background is in the top 1% is also talking about this, either A) it should make this information more legitimate or B) we should be highly suspicious of his motives. I have to admit I found it rather odd that a man of his status would do something like this. Reluctantly, I have to admit I have a bit of a prejudice against the rich. It's something I'm not necessarily proud of, but that is where my confusion comes from...a distrust for people with wealth. However, I am more than willing to consider that Mr. Gamble did this with good intentions. Not everyone with wealth has an evil hidden agenda, and perhaps Foster Gamble is one of the good ones.
Also, there is the fact that he is selling this movie for $20 for a DVD hard copy and $5 to watch online. That can raise suspicions but at the same time, the movie is part of Gamble's Thrive Movement project, which does include a very professional website and a movie that looks as if it cost a few shiny dimes to put together, so I can understand that he would like to see a return on his efforts. I would say that most of my complaints come from my own prejudice, and so I view the film with that prejudice aside.
The solution they offer is creating an "honest money system". I feel that this is a good step in the right direction, but should not be considered as the absolute end result. As a supporter of The Venus Project, whose goal is to abolish the monetary system enitrely, I understand that a world without a monetary system, while possible, cannot be done right away, especially at this point in time. It would take a transitional system that utilizes some form of monetary exchange for the time being that overtime will phase out money. I don't believe an honest money system would be a practical end result, but a very practical transitional system to ease us into a Resource Based Economy. There is a movement called "Equal Money" that I have looked into recently. And I think that while their ideas should not be considered to be end results, they have the potential to be of great service to humanity by helping us implement such a transitional system. They have many great ideas and I think that we should listen to them if we are to start heading in the direction of a money-free society. The fact that The Venus Project and Equal Money rival each other is ridiculous. They both say they are impractical solutions, and that simply isn't true! I must say that both make strong arguments for their cases, however.
Below, I have provided links to Thrive's website, which includes a great deal of information that I recommend checking out. I also have linked to Equal Money's site along with The Venus Project's website for you to take a look at as well.
